Friends of the New Salem Public Library Mission: Our mission is to support the library and its services. We raise money through our Annual Appeal, fundraising programs, and grants to help the library with funds beyond its annual budget. We organize programs of interest to the community. We spearheaded the Reimagining Our Library project. We maintain an ongoing used book sale.

Become a member: A donation of $10 or more makes you a member with member benefits, in addition to supporting the library.

Volunteers welcome!: Some of the many volunteer opportunities include: working in the library gardens, planning and/or promoting events and programs, taking photos at events, assisting with programs, fundraising events, and book sales. Whatever your talents or interests, you will find enjoyable volunteer opportunities to work with an enthusiastic and collaborative group of Friends' volunteers.
