Join the Massachusetts Center for the Book 2024 Reading Challenge

  • How the challenge works:

  • Choose a book that fits the monthly challenge.

  • After you read, fill out this form to tell us about the book.

    • Using our NEW submission manager, you will be able to log in and access the entries you’ve logged throughout the year.

    • Dedicated readers will be invited to a year-end celebration hosted by Mass Center for the Book.

    • If you read a book in each of the 12 months, you will be entered in a drawing to win 1 of 2 totes filled with books.

    • New this year! We will be drawing two names on the last day of each month to win a free book! Make sure you get those entries in before the end of the month.

Ever thought about joining the Trustee Board?
We’re looking for a new, dedicated member to join the team!
The Board meets once a month and shares
tasks so no one gets overwhelmed.  
It’s okay if you don’t have experience servingon a board,
serving as a Library Trustee is a great way to get started.
If you like more information, a library staff member can put you in touch with a current Trustee.

 

The library is pleased to provide curbside pickup of library materials.
Curbside service is available during our normal open hours.

  Ordering Items
Search our online Catalog here to find items available at our library.
Place a hold on items you would like. Once you receive notification that your hold is available for pick-up, call 978-544-6334 to schedule a pickup time.  A staff member will provide instructions for pick-up when you call.  If you would like to place a hold on an item from another library, be sure to select the New Salem Puclic library as your pick-up location.  If you have questions or need assistance, please call and we'll be happy to help!
